Caltrans Division of Local Assistance has launched a new Title VI website. The purpose of the Title VI website is to provide guidance to local public agencies to comply with various nondiscrimination laws and regulations, including Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VI) and subsequent federal legislation. Title VI forbids discrimination against anyone in the United States on the basis of race, color, sex, age, disability or national origin in the programs and activities of an agency receiving federal financial assistance
