The California LTAP Center is hosting two classes on Preventing Runovers and Backovers.
This free training is designed to keep roadway construction workers safe from being struck by construction trucks and equipment.
- UNDERSTAND the hazards faced by roadway construction workers every day, especially workers on foot.
- LEARN how to create safe “zones” for workers and equipment to avoid struck-by incidents.
- DEVELOP your own internal Traffic Control Plan to create safe routes for workers, trucks and construction
equipment.
This training program is available from the American Road and Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) with support from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). A course accreditation card will be provided by ARTBA.
