The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has posted guidance to clarify implementation requirements associated with the regulation on Periodic Evaluation of Facilities Repeatedly Requiring Repair and Reconstruction Due to Emergency Events, per 23 CFR 667. This guidance has been developed in response to questions received from State departments of transportation regarding how the evaluation should be conducted, maintained, and used in support of development of a State’s transportation asset management plan.
