In 2019, Oslo recorded zero deaths involving pedestrians or cyclists. Hartmann will share key elements of Oslo’s Vision Zero work, including how they finance it, remove roadblocks to implementation, and how they use tactical, temporary experiments to prove new ideas can work.

“Tools and Techniques for Keeping Vulnerable Road Users Safe” – 30 Minutes

In 2019, ODOT set aside $10M to work with eight Ohio cities to build pedestrian safety improvements at over 450 locations statewide. Thompson will share how it selected and designed these locations, and the tools they used to build this pilot program.
