The FHWA Office of Bridges and Structures has issued a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for the Research Initiatives in support of Structural Engineering Programs. This BAA covers the following topics:

- Bridge Post-Tensioning Training and Testing Center
- Post-Tensioning (PT) Tendon Force Assessment for In-service Bridges
- Material Innovations for Steel Bridge Members
- Innovative Detailing and Fabrication for Steel Bridge Members
- Risk-Based Methodology for Structural Evaluation of Bridge-Sized Culverts
- Framework and Methodology for Risk-Based Bridge and Tunnel Asset Management
- Modeling and Analysis Tools for Risk-Based Bridge and Tunnel Asset Management
- Security and Safety of Bridges from Human-made Hazards
- Safety Inspection and Evaluation of Bridges with FRP Composites

This is an unrestricted solicitation. Any responsible source may submit a proposal for consideration, including, States or local governments, or organizations of State or local government, universities or institution of high education, non-profit organization, private individuals, corporation, and or businesses or commercial organizations.
