Caltrans California Integrated Travel Project (Cal-ITP) invites your innovation ideas for bus lanes, transit priority signals, and more to help riders get where they’re going!
Cal-ITP has launched the Better Buses Innovation Challenge in collaboration with Caltrans Division of Research, Innovation and System Information (DRISI). Cal-ITP is leveraging data standards — like GTFS-RT which provides users transit data updates in real time — to analyze bus speeds for California transit operators. Visit the Cal-ITP Transit Speed Maps to view transit operators by District, find hotspots of slow speeds, and use additional resources and your professional expertise to brainstorm innovative ideas for speeding up transit.
Go to the Cal-ITP Better Buses Innovation Challenge site for full details and submit your innovative ideas by July 28, 2022.
