Caltrans Office of Strategic Investment Planning (OSIP) Division of Transportation Planning leads Caltrans Letter of Support (LOS) requests from local and regional agencies for inclusion in their project application packages for competitive grant programs. OSIP is responsible for submitting LOS Request Packages to the Director for various state and federal grant programs.
Caltrans currently has three Call for Letters of Support open for the following Discretionary Grants:
Multimodal Project Discretionary Grant (MPDG) Program Fiscal Year 2023
• Request for a Caltrans Letter of Support is due June 28, 2023 (may be extended based on USDOT Notice of Funding Opportunity release)
Promoting Resilient Operations for Transformative, Efficient, and Cost-saving Transportation (PROTECT) Program Fiscal Year 2023
• Request for a Caltrans Letter of Support is due June 30, 2023
Federal Reconnecting Communities Pilot (RCP) Program Fiscal Year 2023
• Request for a Caltrans Letter of Support is due June 30, 2023 (may be extended based on USDOT Notice of Funding Opportunity release)
