Notice of Funding Opportunity for 2023-24 ATTAIN Program

The Tier-3 2023-24 Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) announces the availability of up to $60 million for the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law’s Advanced Transportation Technologies and Innovative Mobility Deployment (ATTIMD) Grant Program 2023 and 2024 years. The program is incorporated into Section 503(c)(4) of Title 23, United States Code, and is also known as the Advanced Transportation Technology and Innovation (ATTAIN) Program. The NOFO is published on the Grants.gov website.

The application deadline is February 2, 2024.
A webinar covering details of the program and the NOFO is being scheduled, and the Federal Highway Administration will follow up with the date and time as well as a link to register for the event. This information will be updated in the Grants.gov listing as well.

The ATTAIN Program provides funding to develop model deployments of large-scale implementation and operation of a diverse set of advanced transportation technologies in various geographic regions. The intent of these deployments are:

These model deployments are expected to provide benefits in the form of:

•    reduced traffic-related fatalities and injuries;

•    reduced traffic congestion and improved travel time reliability;

•    reduced transportation-related emissions;

•    optimized multimodal system performance;

•    improved access to transportation alternatives, including for underserved populations;

•    improved integration of payment systems;

•    public access to real-time integrated traffic, transit, and multimodal transportation information to make informed travel decisions;

•    cost savings to transportation agencies, businesses, and the traveling public; or

•    other benefits to transportation users and the general public

These grants will make up no more than 80 percent of the total proposed project costs, with the remainder coming from non-Federal sources.
