Caltrans System Investment Strategy Draft Open for Public Comment

The Draft Caltrans System Investment Strategy (CSIS) establishes Caltrans’ investment framework with standard methodologies and processes to guide transportation investment decisions through a transparent and collaborative process. Also part of the Draft CSIS is a companion document to assess alignment with the Climate Action Plan for Transportation Infrastructure (CAPTI), called the Draft CAPTI Alignment Metrics.

The CSIS is an important step forward in California’s response to climate change and fulfills CAPTI commitments by transparently prioritizing transportation projects that advance the state’s climate, equity, safety, and mobility goals through greater collaboration and local participation.

Public comment is now open for the Draft CSIS and the Draft CAPTI Alignment Metrics. Public comment ends April 15, 2024.
