In this webinar, communities will share how they overcame the “what if” worries about snow removal and other potential concerns related to these proven safety countermeasures, and installed countermeasures towards improved pedestrian and non-motorized user safety while still maintaining snow and ice operations effectively. Additional discussion will cover the role of pop-up demonstrations, winter operations policies, and staff training when reviewing complete streets and traffic calming installations like curb bump-outs, pedestrian refuge islands, and more.
