Innovations in Rubberized Asphalt Pavement Design
April 18, 2024
10:00 am – 11:00 am PT
The Caltrans Research Connections Program focuses on broadening awareness of our ongoing and completed research projects at the Division of Research Innovation and System Information (DRISI) and strengthens the connection between Caltrans and local governments, academic, and industry.
This research evaluated Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt-gap Graded (RHMA-G) layer thickness limits set by Caltrans. Recent improvements in mix design and performance have made RHMA-G cost-competitive and enhanced rutting resistance.
DRISI will be hosting a free webinar on April 18, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am PT. The webinar will discuss a test track’s construction, Heavy Vehicle Simulator (HVS) testing, and laboratory analysis of RHMA-G mixes, including findings and recommendations.
UC Davis Professor John Harvey and Dr. David Jones will be presenting. Access the flyer details and registration below.
