The Division of Local Assistance (DLA) Highway Bridge Program (HBP) has updated the Bridge Preventive Maintenance Program (BPMP) Guidelines to clarify eligibility and establish delivery requirements for the BPMP. The updated guidelines are implemented effective immediately and are online on the DLA HBP webpage.
An updated BPMP template for Bridge List projects is also provided for local public agencies’ use. Submittals to Caltrans after June 1, 2024 must utilize the updated BPMP template. BPMP submittal packages are to be sent to respective District Local Assistance Engineers (DLAE) and District HBP coordinators.
Sample cover letters are provided as examples. However, local public agencies may use their own cover letters as appropriate.
