In an effort to address the ongoing challenge of recruiting and retaining transportation maintenance workers, the Minnesota Local Road Research Board has sponsored a project, which seeks to provide easily accessible online tools that local agencies can use to help recruit and retain maintenance professionals.

A new website for the project—MNTransportationCareers.com—is launching on July 9, 2024, and serves as a portal for jobseekers, public works managers, human resources departments, employment counselors, and others. It includes easily accessible and shareable videos, brochures, a training guide, job board, case studies, and other resources.
