This free webinar presented by New Jersey Local Technical Assistance Program (NJLTAP) introduces attendees to the Local Road Safety Plan (LRSP) initiative, a process designed by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to help local public agencies (LPAs) strategically plan for and deploy proven safety countermeasures on their local road systems. Participants learn what an LRSP is and how small agencies can benefit from implementation.
The presentation will outline how to develop an LRSP through a seven-step process, as well as how to identify and make use of the various resources available to support LRSP development. This webinar is meant to provide an introduction to local roadway agencies and consultant engineers, as well as public safety and public works personnel interested in an overview about LRSPs.
