Caltrans Safety Programs and California Highway Patrol are jointly providing a free in-person, three-hour Speed Limit Workshop to assist Caltrans Headquarters and Districts, California local public agencies, law enforcement, and private consultants. This workshop provides a basic knowledge and resources of setting speed limit and knowledge of enforcement of speed limits in California. At the end of the workshop, attendees will be able to apply the general principles for setting speed limits and performing an Engineering and Traffic Survey, including the role of law enforcement and enforcement strategies.
