Build a Better Mousetrap Competition

The California Local Technical Assistance Program (CALTAP) is now accepting applications for the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) national Build a Better Mousetrap (BABM) competition, which showcases local transportation-related innovations that improve project, process, or maintenance efficiencies.
These innovative solutions improve safety, save money, decreases time and moves processes to become more efficient. The FHWA recognizes local and State agencies who have used innovation to improve transportation programs for their communities.
